Dr. Tran is well versed in HPC development. He architected and designed the Andes RISC-V out-of-order (OOO) Vector Processor (VLEN/SIMD=512b) in 9 months using an innovative algorithm which does not resemble any previous known OOO superscalar design and has no temporary registers (not renaming, not ROB). The most important feature of vector processor is simplicity.
Andes NX27V issues 8 micro-ops per cycle with up to 14 vector instructions in parallel execution.

Dr. Thang Tran, Principle Architect of Andes Technology Corp. and veteran of high performance computing (HPC)
Dr. Tran has involved in many innovative CPU designs at Intel, AMD, Freescale, TI, Analog Devices among others. His doctoral thesis at the University of Texas at Austin was on Superscalar Microprocessor Architecture with Multi-Bit Scoreboard Technique.
